One Day Chess Tournament for Kids

Reporting time: 9.00am on 5th January. 
Note: Spot entries will not be accepted.

CATEGORIES :

Under 8 Open & Girls: born on or after 1/1/2017
Under 10 Open & Girls: born on or after 1/1/2015
Under 12 Open & Girls: born on or after 1/1/2013
Under 16 Open & Girls: born on or after 1/1/2009

PRIZES:

• Trophies & merit certificates for top 5 players in each category.
• Overall best school prize for top 3 performing
• schools based on top 5 individual placings.
• Participation certificate to all the participants.

TOURNAMENT RULES & REGULATIONS:

1. Tournament will be held in 8 categories: Under 8, 10, 12 & 16 Open & Girls.
2. No restriction on the number of players to be fielded by a school.
3. A player can play only one category. Lower age player may opt to play higher category, in such case he/ she cannot play another category.
4. Tournament will be held in 6-7 round Rapid Swiss league system.
5. Time control: 20 mins each, 5 seconds increment per move.
6. Players list, pairings will be published in chess-results.com. For corrections in players list contact: 0824 4277273 before 6.00pm of 4th January.
7. Reporting time: 08.45am on 5th January.
   Note: Spot entries will not be accepted.
8. Accompanying School team managers/ parents are not allowed in the playing area during the matches.
9. Lunch will be provided to all the participants and accompanying Teachers.
